Three of the most popular ways to cut your cigar
Four options for cutting your cigar
The type of Cut you use on your cigar is based upon your preference. They are listed below in order least amount of airflow to greatest amount of air flow
Punch Cutter - a round hole in the end of the cigars that allows for minimum air flow through the cigar with little or no tobacco bits when you use this type of cut. Some even use this for the chisel torpedo cigars to experience a top smoke experience on your palette. We suggest that you use a 11mm punch for large 60+ ring gauge Cigars.
V Cut - creates a V shape slice in the top of the cigar. This cut creates better airflow for your smoking experience and the V cut be used on Torpedo cigars. Some do a double V cut on a traditional round cigar for increased air flow. This type of double v cut is called the “star cut”.
Guillotine - also called the Straight Cut, is the most widely used cut. One key is to find the right straight cut device for the size cigar you enjoy. Especially with the 60+ ring gauge Cigars.
Cigar Scissors - very similar to the guillotine cut but requires just a little more skill and patience. This cut is the most elegant and unique to use and can impress even the seasoned smoker should your talents prove to be on display.
