Smoking this awesome cigar while enjoying a Kentucky Bourbon Ale. Letting the smoke roam around inside my mouth then slowly letting the smoke travel out the corridors of the nose then sip a little ale. Really brings out the caramel of the ale. The cigar is a slightly strong flavor. Well worth the price of a great cigar and Kentucky Bourbon Ale.

Fantastic Cigar

I was introduced to the La Flor Dominicana cabinet Maduro a few years back at a cigar store, when one of the employees suggested it to me. I am completely impressed by the flavor, consistency, burn, and it passes what I call my “rancid test”. Is the flavor just as good in the last 1/4 of the cigar as it was in the first 3/4? This one is, and has been every time I’ve smoked one. The flavor profile to me is slightly spicy, nutty, and finishes with a hint of coffee. The nuttiness is my favorite thing about it, and to me is halfway between cashew and roasted peanut. The only thing that prevents it from getting the full 5 stars from me is the lack of a band. I collect bands from my favorite cigars with the intention of lacquering them onto a table top someday, however I understand that this is a decision by the maker and they just do not come with them.
